Doctor of Pharmacy

The Postgraduate Doctor of Pharmacy pathway is a professional program offered to licensed pharmacists with an accredited baccalaureate degree in pharmacy who wish to earn a higher degree relevant to clinical practice. The program is designed and developed to satisfy the needs of practicing pharmacists at health care centers within the country. The duration of the program is 2 years full time (or 4 years part time). The College of Medicine & Health Sciences has a high global rating and is accredited by the General Medical Council. It is listed and accepted by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates and recognized by American and Canadian Universities and Health Institutions.

Program Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this program, students will be able to:

  • Demonstrate clinical competencies comparable to those of students completing the Doctor of Pharmacy Degree programs in accredited US Universities
  • Understand the importance of lifelong learning skills necessary for professional development
  • Understand and work within the legal and ethical frameworks which govern medical practice
  • Demonstrate personal and professional behavior consistent with standards of medical practice required for competent, safe patient and community care
