Description: The World TB Day observed March 24 of each year, it commemorates the day in 1882 when Dr Robert Koch announced he had discovered the cause of tuberculosis, the TB bacillus. It is designed to build public education and awareness that tuberculosis today remains an epidemic in much of the world; it is the second leading cause of death from a single infectious agent, after HIV/AIDS and causing the deaths of nearly one-and-a-half million people each year, mostly in developing countries.
